A female police officer saved a dog left in a hot car

In New York, a policewoman participated in a rescue mission to free a small dog trapped in a hot car. He finally decided to adopt her.

Residents of the neighborhood where the car was located called an ambulance, noticing that the dog was locked in the car for more than two hours and no one could help him.

Confined in strong heat, the animal showed signs of anxiety, which were noticed by the residents.

The police broke one of the windows of the car to get the dog out and took him to the vet. Its owner, a 26-year-old man, was charged with animal cruelty and neglect. The dog was taken into care by the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals.

Police officer Aruna Maharaj was present at the scene during the rescue operation. A month after the operation, he decided to adopt the animal.

“A month ago, this sweet pooch was rescued after his owner left him in his warm, closed car for hours. Yesterday, one of his rescuers, Officer Maharaj, adopted him.”

Do not forget that it is dangerous to leave a pet locked in a car. If you have a high fever, these signs should alert you: excessive breathing, difficulty breathing, increased heart rate, dehydration, and signs of weakness.
